Paralogger Pro

Joseph Ward built the Paralogger Pro app as a Commercial app. This App is provided by Joseph Ward and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my App.
If you choose to use my App then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Any information you save in the App is retained on your device and in your iCloud account and is not collected by me in any way. This includes your flights, gliders, sites, equipment, maintenance records, IGC track files, photos and documents.
The App can use your device's location to fill in the site you are flying from when you log a flight. Your location is used on the device to match it against sites you have already saved — it is not sent to me, and the App works without it if you would rather not grant the permission.
Screens that draw a map — a flight's track, a site, the heat map of a site — use Apple Maps, which fetches the map imagery from Apple as you look at it.
When you import an IGC file for a site the App does not yet know, it asks Apple for the name of the place the flight took off from, so it can offer you a suggested name to edit. That sends the takeoff coordinate from the file to Apple's mapping service, and nothing else — no name, no account, nothing about you or the rest of your logbook. It is a suggestion you can overwrite or ignore, and if it fails the field is simply left blank.
Apple's handling of that request is covered by Apple's privacy policy. None of it comes to me.
Photos, documents and IGC files you attach are stored with your logbook on your device and in your iCloud account. They are not uploaded to me or to anyone else. Files you export or share — PDF reports, CSV exports and backups — go wherever you choose to send them.
I do not collect or store any log data from your device.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This App does not use these “cookies” and does not use third party code or libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services.
I do not employ third-party companies or individuals.

The support page for Paralogger Pro, on my own site. It is a plain page of questions and answers — it sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not identify you.
A YouTube playlist of how-to videos. YouTube is operated by Google, not by me, and once you are there you are on their site under their privacy policy, which is not something I control. Watching a video sends nothing about your logbook — the link carries no information about you or your flying, only the address of the playlist.
Neither link is followed on its own. Nothing leaves the App unless you tap one.
I have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any site you reach this way. I strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.
I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
